Block drops

When do Amazon Flex blocks drop?

By the FlexControl team · Updated

Short answer
  • Amazon says offers are added throughout the day at varying frequency, based on customer orders. There is no official drop schedule.
  • Scheduled blocks can appear up to 7 days before they start. Most are first come, first served.
  • Reserved offers go to one driver first, then open to everyone. Instant offers start within 0–30 minutes.
  • Keep a station-by-station log to see when offers appear in your market. Treat any pattern as an observation, not a guaranteed release time.

Release time vs block start time

Release time is when an offer becomes available; start time is when the booked work begins. An offer seen at 10 a.m. might be for a block later that day or on another date. Record both times when looking for patterns.

For planning the shift itself, read Amazon Flex block start times, lengths and schedules.

What Amazon says

  • Offers are added throughout the day at varying frequency, depending on customer orders, and aren’t guaranteed (FAQ).
  • Most blocks are first come, first served, so check the Offers page often (Amazon’s guide to Flex offers).
  • Blocks can be posted up to 7 days before they begin (What to expect page). An older 2023 post said three days; the current page says seven.
  • Reserved offers go to one driver for a limited time, then open to everyone. At Rewards Level 2+, Preferred Scheduling lets you pick up to 3 stations and 3 day-and-time combinations.
  • Instant offers start 0–30 minutes after you accept.

Compare patterns by station

A useful log separates the station, weekday, time an offer was seen, start time, duration and pay. Combining every station into one list can hide the differences.

Best times to check your station

  1. For two weeks, write down when you see new offers at each station: day, time, pay, length.
  2. Look for repeats by station and weekday, using the station’s local time. The time you first see an offer may be later than its actual release.
  3. Set reminders a few minutes before those times.
  4. Compare base-pay offers with the same block a few minutes later, to see whether your station raises pay.

FlexControl does the watching for you: it checks offers in your hours and keeps a log of every offer it saw, so you can see your station’s pattern in /log.
