Block grabber or block catcher: what’s the difference?
Drivers use both names for tools that look for Amazon Flex blocks and try to reserve them. The name alone does not tell you which filters are included or how the tool confirms a booking.
With FlexControl, the useful part is the decision: does the offer match your station, pay, schedule and arrival buffer? The example below shows how those checks work. For tap-based tools, see auto clicker vs bot.
How a block grabber decides
Every few seconds the grabber looks at the offers Flex shows you. Each offer is checked against your rules, in order. The first rule it fails is the reason it gets skipped. If it passes them all, the grabber taps Accept.
| Offer | Rule it hit | Result |
|---|---|---|
| DUR3 · Sat 07:00 · $66 | Starts before your hours | Skipped |
| DDA9 · Sun 08:00 · 3 h · $71 | $23.67 an hour, under your $25 | Skipped |
| VTX2 · today 14:50 · $72 | Starts in 29 min, you need 45 to get there | Skipped |
| VTX3 · Sat 10:30–14:30 · $148 | Passes every rule | Attempt to book; confirm in Flex schedule |
In FlexControl you see this list in Telegram with the /log command, so you can tune the rules instead of guessing.
Filters worth having
- Stations, including Sub Same-Day, Fresh and Whole Foods, picked one by one.
- Minimum pay per block and per hour. Per hour stops long, cheap blocks; per block stops short, low-value ones.
- Block length, from and to.
- Arrival buffer: the minutes you need to reach the station. Set it to your travel time plus a practical margin.
- Days and hours, separately for each weekday.
- Stop after one block, when you only want one booking.
What a block grabber costs
FlexControl uses fixed plans: $22 for 3 days, $39 for 7 days, $69 for 14 days or $129 for 30 days. Each includes the device and the same search features. There is no per-block commission.
If you compare with a commission service, calculate both costs over the same period. See flat plans vs commission.
