The two ways bots charge
Per-block commission. Multiply the block pay subject to the fee by the quoted percentage. Check for minimum charges, background-search fees and how cancelled blocks are treated.
Flat plan. You pay a fixed price for a set number of days. The price doesn't change with how many blocks you get. Cloud bots usually charge this way, because they run a phone or a server for you around the clock.
Neither is a better deal on its own. It depends on how much you book.
The break-even formula
To compare, turn both into a weekly cost.
- Commission per week = your block pay that week × rate.
- Flat plan per week = plan price ÷ plan days × 7.
The two are equal when:
weekly block pay = flat plan per week ÷ rate
Below that amount, the commission costs less. Above it, the flat plan costs less.
FlexControl's plans as weekly costs
| Plan | Price | Per day | Per 7 days | Break-even at 3.5% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 days | $22 | about $7.33 | about $51.33 | about $1,467 of blocks a week |
| 7 days | $39 | about $5.57 | $39.00 | about $1,114 of blocks a week |
| 14 days | $69 | about $4.93 | $34.50 | about $986 of blocks a week |
| 30 days | $129 | $4.30 | $30.10 | $860 of blocks a week |
The 3-day plan gives you a shorter commitment. Longer plans have a lower daily price.

A table by blocks per week
Your block pay depends on your market. The table uses $70 per block as an example only. Put in your own average.
| Blocks a week | Block pay a week | 3.5% commission | 7-day plan | 30-day plan, per week |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | $210 | $7.35 | $39.00 | $30.10 |
| 5 | $350 | $12.25 | $39.00 | $30.10 |
| 10 | $700 | $24.50 | $39.00 | $30.10 |
| 13 | $910 | $31.85 | $39.00 | $30.10 |
| 16 | $1,120 | $39.20 | $39.00 | $30.10 |
| 20 | $1,400 | $49.00 | $39.00 | $30.10 |
At $70 a block:
- The 30-day plan costs less than a 3.5% commission from about 13 blocks a week.
- The 7-day plan costs less from about 16 blocks a week.
Under that, the commission is cheaper in pure dollars.
What the formula leaves out
Money isn't the only cost. Before you choose, check these:
- Keeping a device on. Many app-based bots run on your Android and need it on, some with the Flex app open, while they search. That uses battery and data, and the device is busy. A cloud option doesn't need anything of yours switched on.
- iPhone. Screen tappers work only on Android. If you have an iPhone, your choice is an app that signs in with your login or a cloud option.
- Your password. Some tools of both kinds ask for your Amazon login. FlexControl never does: you sign in to Amazon Flex yourself, and you enter your password on Amazon’s sign-in page.
- Background-search fees. Some apps charge a higher rate to search while the phone is locked. Use that higher rate in the formula.
- Refunds. Read the terms before you pay. FlexControl refunds the unused days if the problem is on our side: your device never starts, or the service is down for more than 24 hours. Otherwise your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Details in our Refund Policy.
- Blocks you'd get anyway. A commission charges for every block the bot books, including ones you might have caught yourself.
How to work out your own number
- Open your Flex earnings for the last four weeks. Add the base pay and divide by 4. That is your weekly block pay.
- Multiply it by the commission rate you were quoted. That is your weekly commission.
- Compare with the weekly cost of the plan you are looking at, from the table above.
- If the numbers are close, decide on the other costs: keeping a device on, iPhone support and your password.
One caution: no bot guarantees blocks. Your weekly pay with a bot can be lower than you hope. If you are not sure, start with a free trial and count what you actually get.

Questions
How much does an Amazon Flex bot cost?
Pricing may be a fixed plan or a percentage of booked-block pay. FlexControl costs $22 for 3 days, $39 for 7 days, $69 for 14 days or $129 for 30 days. Compare the full cost over the same period.
Is a commission or a flat plan cheaper?
Divide the flat plan's weekly cost by the commission rate. If your weekly block pay is above that number, the flat plan is cheaper.
How many blocks do I need for a weekly plan to pay off?
At 3.5% and $70 a block, about 16 blocks a week for a $39 week, or about 13 for the 30-day plan. Use your own average pay.
Can I try FlexControl before paying?
3 days free, no card required. The trial starts when your device is ready and your Flex account is connected. One trial per Flex account.
Do I pay if the bot books nothing?
With a commission, no. With a flat plan, yes. That is why a free trial is worth using first.
