Start with the payment on the offer
Amazon describes Flex as work you choose by delivery block, with the payment shown before you book. The published hourly range is a reference point, not a fixed rate for every station or offer. Read Amazon’s overview.
When comparing two offers, note the payment, scheduled length, start time and pickup location together. A bigger dollar amount can mean a longer block or a longer drive to the station.
How much does Amazon Flex pay per hour?
Divide the payment by the scheduled block length. For example, $84 for three hours is $28 per scheduled hour. Compare that with a $100 four-hour block at $25 per scheduled hour.
| Illustrative offer | Scheduled length | Pay per scheduled hour |
|---|---|---|
| $84 | 3 hours | $28 |
| $100 | 4 hours | $25 |
| $120 | 5 hours | $24 |
The $120 offer pays the most overall. The $84 offer pays the most per scheduled hour. Your available time and costs determine which would fit you better.
Include the time and costs around the block
For your personal comparison, count the trip to the station and the trip after the last delivery. Keep track of fuel or charging, tolls, parking and an allowance for vehicle wear. Apply the same method to every block.
Example: a $100 block takes four scheduled hours, plus one hour of travel. If you allow $20 for vehicle and trip costs, that leaves $80 across five hours: $16 per hour after those assumed costs, before taxes.
This is a planning example, not a tax calculation. Your actual time and expenses will differ. After each delivery, record the amount paid, total time and costs so your next decision uses your own experience.
Choose a minimum you can use
- Choose the stations that fit your driving area.
- Set the maximum block length you can fit into your day.
- Decide on both a minimum total payment and a minimum payment per scheduled hour.
- Allow enough time to reach the pickup station.
- Review your completed blocks and adjust your minimums as you learn your costs.
For example, a $90 minimum and a $27 hourly minimum would accept a $90 three-hour offer for a booking attempt, but skip a $100 four-hour offer. The second clears the total-pay filter, but not the hourly filter.
FlexControl’s hourly filter uses the payment and scheduled block length. It does not subtract your personal expenses or commute. Build those into the minimum you choose.
Where to check your earnings and payment options
Use the Earnings section of your Amazon Flex app to check payments. Amazon describes Cashout and Instant Pay among its payment options; check which options your account offers and their current terms. Amazon’s payment overview.
Keep the amount advertised, the amount received and your own costs separate in your records. That makes it easier to see what is working for you.
Let your pay rules do the filtering
Once you know your minimums, you do not need to review every unsuitable offer yourself. FlexControl searches in the real Flex app on your own device, included in your plan, and attempts to book scheduled blocks that match your settings.
Manage the search in Telegram and receive booking confirmations there. Start with the stations, pay and hours that suit you, then use the search log to see which offers matched.

Questions
Is Amazon Flex pay the same in every US city?
No. Amazon says earnings depend on location and other factors. Compare the offers available to your account instead of treating a national hourly range as a local rate.
Is a higher-paying block always better?
Not necessarily. Compare its length and pickup location as well as the total payment. A shorter block can pay more per scheduled hour.
How do I calculate pay per hour?
Divide the block payment by its scheduled hours. For a personal after-cost comparison, subtract your costs and include your total time, including travel.
Does FlexControl calculate my take-home pay?
No. Its pay filters use the offer payment and scheduled block length. You choose minimums that account for your own travel and expenses.
